UK Model Directory
3D Train Studio UK has created several UK outline models. These are not available in the online catalog but they may be downloaded from here. All the models have been developed and tested at HO scale, but the models are full size so they should work at other scales.
The 3D Modellbahn Studio online catalogue has very few UK outline models and these are inclcuded in this list for reference.
There are some lovely detailed models on Sketchfab, but they tend to have a very large number of polys which can cause performance degradation in 3D Modellbahn Studio animations. They don’t meet 3D Modellbahn Studio model standards.

To use one of 3D Train Studio UK models:
- Click the “Download model file” button to download the *.mbe file to your hard disk.
- In 3D Train Studio, go to the Catalog menu, Browse sub-menu.
- Navigate to the downloaded .mbe file, select and save.
- You’ll then be able to find and use these models through your “My 3D models” icon.
- The paid-for version of 3D Modellbahn Studio is needed to be able to save models.

To use:
1. Carefully place the ground storey on the layout in the required position.
2. Select the ground storey.
3. Control D - this will duplicate the storey in place.
4. Hover until the gizmo appears and use the Z arrow on the gizmo to lift up the copy by one storey height. It will snap into place on top of the floor below.
5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 until the building has the required number of storeys.
6. Add one more storey. For this storey, select the roof variation. It will snap into place.
